                  Thanksgiving, New Year and more........

Austin has become quite the weekend warrior in JTree. He's starting to lead free climbs and has a few solos under his belt. Josh is a great place to learn the ropes.

Last weekend the weather was some of the finest possible conditions in the desert. We set out on Friday night and arrived in the Tree after dark.

We were surprised to see an empty camping site in one of the first spots in the Hidden Valley loop.

We set up our tent and went to explore the night. The night was filled with merriement as we made our way to Ryan Campground to visit some friends from Zion, Utah.

We met up with Dean Wood, Eric Draper and "Bird" from Springdale and had a jolly great time.

Thanksgiving came and went. We spent most of the time hanging out in the desert of JTree. We made it back to Lake Arrowhead for X-Mas and then off again.... back to Hidden Valley Campground.

New Year was kinda quiet We had great company with some of the JTree/Yosemite locals. Jenni, Craig, Walt Zach, Max, Karen, Ivo, Blitzo & Chelsie where some of many of the good people enjoying the awesome vibe.

The rain kept most of the regular crew away and while we were there we learned about many disasters around the world.

After the New Year, back in Lake Arrowhead, we continued our adventures in the Lake Arrowhead Pinnacles, spending nearly every weekend there.

The place is amazing with formations spread out everywhere. It has become my new training ground, cross-training between triail running and rock climbing.
